Op Shop Sale

After almost a week away working in Geelong I got home to find one of my favorite Op Shops in Essendon having a half price sale - I've come across two Op Shops recently having fill a bag for $1 sales which unfortunately meant they were closing down, but thankfully, this graet Op shop has a half price sale every 6 months to make room for their winter or summer donations (depending which season is on the way)... I got some fantastic bargins but am looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks to an Op Shop filled with new treasures......

Flemico

A trip to Spain wouldn't be complete without taking in a Flemico show - I loved the Flemico and was thrilled I managed to capture this dancer completely in the moment....

Umbrella

A friend of mine is heading over to Japan to see the Cherry Blossoms and the painting on this old Japanese Umbrella of the blossoms is quite lovely....

Children's Hour Picture Book

Last month I featured some red and black illustrations from an old 50's picture book I saved from being thrown out...... I also like the green and black illustrations from the same book and think the illustration of the boy with the indian headdress is going to make a great card.....

Retro Fish

This retro ceramic fish dish would make quite a cute wall hanging - while its not being used for peanuts and nibbles during cocktail hour that is!!!!

and this yellow fish would have to be a sugar bowl - unless it was used martini olives....

Teapot House

This cute little teapot house came from Vinnies Ringwood where I always manage to find great stuff....
however
when I took it to the counter one of the staff became quite concerned that I was going take it home and actually use it to make a cup of tea...  she didn't want to sell it to me, and was adamant it was just for decoration and couldn't really be used as a teapot.... I'm glad I convinced her otherwise because it made a lovely cup of tea and has a really nice pour.... and it didn't break and cause a nasty burn!!!!!

Old Tins

Interesting old tins can make quite useful storage solutions -this tin was really cheap because the lid and base don't match, the lid is a little big but I think they look great together and I was happy to pay $2.00
