Cute Picture

I've never been a huge fan of "cute" but after reading a book I found in the library recently I'm starting to warm to the idea....

This picture must have been given to me when I was quite young and along with my little dog(which I've previously blogged about) they are both adorably cute - If I'm going to embrace cute I'm going to start with Vintage Cute..

Rosanna Village Vintage

Fast becoming one of my favourite Op Shops in Melbourne would have to be the CPS Op Shop in Rosanna - in fact I enjoyed it so much I visited twice today!!! ... Nicole and the ladies working with her were lovely and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.........Next time I'm in Rosanna I'm also going to check out the pre loved dinner sets at Yesteryear, and call in and visit Miss Marie for a another dose of  "Rosanna Village Vintage"

Venice Train Station

This is one of my favourite photo's taken using the tilt shift generator app on the iPhone. Its a photo of Venice train station taken from the canal side looking toward the station and there is something about it which I just love...  I had decided to leave my bulky SLR at the hotel (locked away) and had a great time just wandering along the canals taking pics with the iPhone...

Florence Nightingale - How and Why Wonderbook

I came across this How and Why Wonder Book on Florence Nightingale in an Op shop recently which sits nicely with the two I already have - Rockets and Missiles, and The Human Body.... This book has some great pictures including the one below titled The Nursing Profession Today.....

Florence Nightingale (12 May, 1820 - 13 August, 1910) was an English Nurse who came to prominence in the Crimean War (1853-1856) and was know as "The Lady of the Lamp"due to her night rounds..she improved conditions for patients and her principles are still the basis of nursing today..

Balloon Lights

I came across these fantastic Balloon lights on  Busy Being Fabulous one of my favourite Blogs.

The Balloon Lights were created by Crous & Catogero for Estiluz and I just had to post the pics on Ten Green Balloons.... (Monday seems to be turing into Balloon Day!!!)

Old Green Telephone

I've started using an old cream rotary dial telephone at home and love hearing its old ring tone... 

It sounds wonderful!! 

I was about to go completely mobile when I found it, in working condition, in an Op Shop for $10. It uses no power so - not only is it saving money it will work during a power cut.... Now thats a bargain!

The green phone came from Japan and needs adapting before I can start using it and hear its ring tone..
