Abigail Ahern would have to be my favourite designer and I'm looking forward to meeting her and soaking up as much inspiration as humanly possible....

Gold Coast Op Shopping

I've just returned from a fabulous 4 day weekend on the Gold Coast with family - even though I didn't find Op Shopping on the Gold Coast quite as fruitful as other places around Australia it was heaps of fun!!!! There were plenty of clothes but as far as bric-a-brac went it was a little limited...  I was limited by public transport and a flight to Melbourne but I still managed to find some great things - on the next visit it might be fun to hire a car and visit some inland towns like Toowoomba, Ipswich, and Warwick..

If you are visiting the Gold Coast and fancy some Op Shopping the highest concentration of Op Shops seemed to be around Southport and Vinnies Southport was really worth visiting...

Cushions

 Since photographing Lyn Gardeners cushions a few years ago (bottom image) I've been on the lookout for old cushions made from great fabric - Cushions can be a great, economic way to add colour and texture to any room and these two cushions are great....

Old Suitcases - Great Storage

 Old suitcases are a great storage solution - they have loads of character and, like these 3 blue suitcases, look wonderful stacked on top of each other.... The other amazing thing about old suitcases which sometimes gets overlooked would have to be the detail on inside -  like the great pattern above!!!

I found the two bottom suitcases at a tip shop inside each other but the top one is actually a make up case which was given to me by a fabulous friend...
